Citizens Advice has reported that the number of women seeking advice after pregnancy and experiencing discrimination has risen by 25%. Women's experiences included hours being cut, being put on a zero-hours contract and being forced out of their job. In the past financial year, 1,921 people turned to Citizens Advice for help with pregnancy and maternity discrimination, up from 1,540 in the previous 12 months. There was also a 22% increase in people seeking online help, with the charity's web advice viewed 22,000 times in the last year (BBC News).
